Pastor’s & Pulpit Aide Ministry
Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. Romans 13:7 KJV
Because God is concerned about the total man, we, the Pastor’s and Pulpit Aide, believe that God is holding us the born again believers here at Saint Mark responsible for ministering to the Pastor’s natural needs.
The objective of the Pastor’s Aide Ministry is to support our Pastor spiritually, emotionally, and financially. This ministry also spearheads the church in planning activities that benefit the Pastor and his family. The ultimate goal is to be a blessing to the Blessing that God has given us.
Everyone in the church should see themselves as an instrument to be used by God to be an “aid” to the Pastor. However, this group of people, organized under the banner of “Pastor’s and Pulpit Aide” has made a special commitment to God to carry out His words that says that we should bless the servant that God has sent to us. We know that if we are faithful to do what God has ordained us to do, we will receive blessings abundantly.
The call to Pastor requires many sacrifices. Because the Pastor is a servant to the congregation (flock) he serves, the Pastor must be available at all times. This commitment requires active interaction with the members by ministering to their spiritual and natural needs. Many times the Pastor is called upon just to pray for the members and others. God has given the Pastor the vision for the church, as well as the responsibility for carrying it out. Our mission, as Pastor’s and Pulpit Aide, is to provide the support the Pastor needs to complete what God has instructed him to do.
While the primary focus of the Pastor’s and Pulpit Aide is on the pastor, its activities also benefit the church.
The Pastor’s and Pulpit Aide Ministry has a different meaning in the program of the church from all other ministries and auxiliaries. It is the only group in the church operated because of the love and respect held in the hearts of the people of the church for their Pastor. The members of the Pastor’s and Pulpit Aide must have a love for God and a love for the Pastor. Members must also be willing to give of themselves to make sure the work of the Pastor’s and Pulpit Aide Ministry is carried out in the way that God requires of His followers. God has proven it over and over again, that as we bless the Pastor, God blesses us. We know that the best is yet to come. Eyes have not seen, nor ears have heard, the wonderful things that God has in store for us.
